FAQS

What are your General Cleaning Practices or covid Response?

I wear a mask while cleaning. I ask that you provide toilet brushes in your bathrooms. I bring my own vacuum, but will use yours if you prefer. I use paper towels and/or clean micro fiber cloths to clean surfaces and EPA approved disinfectants.

What if one of Us is sick?

I will postpone, or if necessary cancel, your appointment in advance if I am feeling ill. I kindly ask that you do the same so we can make proper adjustments to your service. Cancelation fees will not apply in these circumstances.

How does pricing for services work?

I offer in home estimates for cleaning services. Additional services are charged by the quarter hour. After reviewing your needs, all pricing options will be provided to help you make the best decision and receive the best value for your money.

How does billing work?

After receiving an estimate for recurring services, I will do the first cleaning and adjust your final price based on that cleaning. Billing details are reviewed after our initial conversation and before service begins. All payments are due at the time of service.

What if I want to hire Ruby for someone else...such as new parents?

If you would like to give someone the gift of time, Ruby is happy to offer Gift Certificates with a 3 hour service minimum. During our initial conversation, we will determine the services and anticipated time requirements. Once we are in agreement, we will connect with the gift recipient to work out the details. Although “surprises” can be fun, not everyone appreciates them. Please make sure ahead of time that the recipient is comfortable having Ruby help.

Is Ruby insured?

Yes, Ruby is covered by commercial liability insurance.

Can you help with childcare or medical needs for an elderly parent?

Personal care for elderly parents, child care or pickup/drop off, and medically-assisted needs are not provided by Ruby.
